Should I choose squash before or after the flowers die?
I am growing vegetables for the first time. The pumpkin has taken over my garden and I have a lot of pumpkins. They are all very small. Not like what you would buy at the store. Should I pick the squash, while the flower in the end still is alive or wait until you have completely died off?
Pick when the size you like to eat. larger they are, more, more mature the seeds of the hardest texture. Male flowers have egg (baby pumpkin) just behind the flower. The male flowers grow on a stalk.
