Have you been on a Scrapbooking Crop & Cruise ?
I’m going on a Scrapbooking Crop & Cruise in Nov 2007 to Mexico.
Has anyone else been on a Scrapbook cruise ?
Where there classes? Crop Party?
What cruise line?
Was there any issues flying with your scrap tools ?
Thanks
Not a cruise, but I did go to CKU (Creating Keepsakes University). It was a blast! I would love to go on a cruise, but actually I was having so much fun indoors with other scrappers that the cruise itself would be a waste. If you’re not that into scrapping, or think you’d want a break from time to time, though, a cruise would be perfect because it gives you plenty of options.
Based on my CKU experience, here are my answers to your specific question:
-Yes, there will be plenty of crop parties and classes. The classes are almost always given by a scrap supplier of some type, and they will use their own materials, and will have a store/shop for their materials available. Be careful not to overindulge in buying (my typical habit!). The crop parties are fun especially if they are themed in a way you like (pajama crop etc.)
- cruise line: don’t know
- flying with scrap tools: YES this can be an issue. Be very very sure that anything with a sharp edge or point, or any liquid, is packed in your checked luggage. If you want to scrap on the plane, have pre-cropped items and paper and a non-liquid adhesive in your carry-on, that’s permissable. Also, don’t bring your whole scrapping cart onboard — aside from contents, it is almost certainly too big to get onboard. Small, simple, and absolutely non-threatening, that’s how to pack your carryon.
HAVE FUN!!
