Scrapbooking, I'm a rookie … is an album in memory of it as a notebook?

This may sound stupid but, are the albums of the the same memory scrapbooks? I thought I had scrapbooks one page of paper, not a plastic sheet protector. My mom I bought a lot of scrapbooking supplies for Christmas and 3 albums include memory. She got from Hobby Lobby. They are expandable post bound pages, that are acid, lignin and PVC free and each with 10 clear sheet protectors. I was wondering because they are "called" scrapbooks. Moreover, were quite cheap and I have seen scrapbooks are quite expensive. I've never done any scrapbooking and I'd appreciate advice anyone can offer! Yes, they are the same, the plastic protectors are for the protection of images. Scrap-booking can be overwhelming, so take your time. Establish a place, preferably a table that is out of the way and can be left there until they're done. This sounds strange, but if it is there and ready, you get more done in less time. Now to organize. Note everything you need at your fingertips so you can really do. That includes the photos. Make well organized as you want, by date, or for birthdays, holidays, whatever. Discard any blurred or simply "bad" as it restricts the photos in the album. In addition, duplicate gifts because he was confused. You begin to wonder whether or not used. Also, if possible, make an album of photos of all your photos. That way if you need one can get easily printed in no time at all. They are also safe, no negatives lost. Then get rid of the negatives. Now, using large white paper or scrapbook pages to create a design usually not more than 3 or 4 photos per page. Spread each page until you have all the photos you want to group for the event. There is really no right or wrong way to do it, but remember, keep your decorations to a minimum. It is easier on the eye and the pocketbook! Just do specialized pages occasionally for special photos. Moreover, will take less time. You will be able to do for fear of a couple pages a day this way and your album will be finished soon. My daughters album is large, but difficult to see because the light is overwheming. I made many embelshiments many colorful designs, took a year to complete. That's why it helps to maintain embellishments to a minimum. Oh, by the way, be sure to use an archival quality pen daily with. That way it will not turn strange colors and ruin your hard work. The Journaling is a great way to preserve your memories and share them too. Scrapbooking is great fun and sharing with others, there are scrapbooking classes that many join.
