Do you love the NES and SNES? Would you buy this?
In my dreams, I imagine Nintendo making these really cool looking NES and SNES consoles. They would be scaled down to a smaller size which would add to their total awesomness and have transparent or glass and metal surfaces and just be really sleek. The controllers could plug in USB and be designed the same. They could sell cartridges which look like the originals but have the data stored with today’s technology. They could sell 5 different ‘games’ for example which could be divided into categories like ‘action adventure’ ’sports’ ‘rpg’ and so on and be packed with all the best games. I know that with the wii and the classic games you can purchase, people might just do that or the emulators you can download but if they actually made these things, I know I would pay probably 60 bucks for the console and maybe 30 for the each game? Just wondering what other think, if you think it’s stupid, don’t be too brutal

Nothing replaces the originals.
For example, Square re-released many of the Final Fantasy games on Playstation several years ago. The games just didn’t have the same feel anymore… especially because they added little extras that most people thought were cool… but they just took away from the beauty of the original games… oh well, haha.
Your dream system is impractical and implausible at best. Nintendo would not make enough profit off such a cheaply priced console to seriously invest in it. It sounds like it would flop harder than Virtual Boy. (For those unaware, VB came out in the 90’s sometime and totally bombed… the system dropped from $200 to about $30 in a matter of weeks/months. Games like Mario Tennis were kind of fun, but people just wouldn’t pay for it.)
